In the same crossover that Iron Man is unphased by impacts that hurt Thor, Post-crisis Superman considers Thor to be the single toughest opponent he has ever fought. Superman catches Thor's hammer strike and stops him in his tracks. This is something Thor describes as the mightiest in nine worlds/realms not being capable of doing -JLA/Avengers issue #2
Also might be fair to note that occuring in a comic run the same writer of this fight between Superman & Thor (Kurt Busiek) had often wrote in, the following showing happened (just two IRL years prior to Superman's fight with Thor) under a different writer. Iron Man (1998) issue #43: Hyde specifically cited to have fought Hulk & Thor to a standstill is put down hard by a burst of repulsors from an armor that was still in the midst of testing stages all while Iron Man thought he was on a time limit to deactivate a bomb. The force fields being pushed out had hurt & impressed this Hyde too: https://bg-so-1.zippyimage.com/2023/10/04/b3fd9e204c34e99115b370c3282fd9ec.jpg https://bg-so-1.zippyimage.com/2023/10/04/55bd39d7c60c8ab51e22fd6b2916c095.jpg & https://bg-so-1.zippyimage.com/2023/10/04/626d28da6e3b2de1c7f7623f54ed80ed.jpg
