Shang-Chi himself admits he doesn't have a chance at beating Iron Man (unlike Thing & Spider-Man who his "human fists" worked just fine against) unless he's in his "element" with adamantium weapons. Iron Man is matching him and then they talk. The issue prior just showed Shang-Chi could hurt the Thing and even disable his arm with pressure points (a single swift strike is all it took to be exact). Iron Man in their next encounter admits he was pulling his punches and easily no-sells Shang-Chi's kick. It's also implied Sister Dagger could gouge Odinforce Thor's eyes out with weapons that aren't even confirmed to be adamantium. -Shang-Chi (2021) issues #4-6
