Later in issue 9, Thing breaks her control rod (which he specifically targeted) while she was unstable and according to Sue looked "ready to blow". Same Sue that could shield & protect Thing from what could've been a fatal attack from Galactus, could hardly even hold a portion of Zora's power for too long -Fantastic Four (2018) issue #7
